I want to thank Rahja and the entire staff for making this happen, and Gaile for the fireworks

I've been ill for a long time now, and it's things like this that keep me going!

So thank you.

Wow, thats a touching post above!
Thanks for the event Rahja, was great fun and thanks to all the people who took time out as staff and Gaile for appearing. Sadly my fingers let me down in the quiz and my brain in the hunt, I blame the late hour in the uk

POSITIVE:I said to my fellow band members of "the Masquerade Orchestra" in ID1 that I love events in general and that this one was particularly special as it was organised by a real player.

NEGATIVE:Goddamnit! All I won was a mini-pig(and that was from someone not associated with the event)-seriously though the lag was terrible and though that is not excuse enough, it just seems unfair that the same person won every event in every district (1 person won 3 in a row in D1, same in D2, don't know about D3)boo hiss moan etc. Fortunate with a good connection in outside world=fortunate in game?

POSITIVE:WHAT A LOT OF FUN! I got some great pics and video, and kudos to Raja even organising something like this-Gaile as special guest!4 ID's! wow not to mention the ppl in Kamadan going nuts wondering when gaile was gonna show.cheers buddy, and I must say the staff were polite and helpfull

All I can say is amazing! In all my time playing (since Beta) I've never actually been to a community event, so what a way to start! This entire thing just blew my mind. Sure some people were pains, but I'm pretty sure things could've gone MUCH MUCH worse! Words cannot describe how thrilled I am to have helped out with this wonderful and exciting event.

I know you probably won't feel up to doing something like this again any time soon, but if you or ANYONE else does, by all means, LET ME KNOW!

This was so wonderful, words cannot convey my excitement or my gratitude to you, Rahja, for doing this.

**Oh, and congrats on finally getting your mule free from the barn!**

You know... I woke up early in a good mood and looking forward to this event. I baked a lasagna which got done just after 1 EST, so I could have some good eats while participating. I took the dog for her walk, and when I came back? Answering machine: "We need you at work."

AAAAH!

But seriously though, it sounds like it was a blast and I wanted to say thank you Rajah for doing this for everyone, and thank you to those who helped him. I wish i could email y'all some lasagna. It's pretty good nuked.

That event was WONDERFUL. I spent over 4 hours there, participating in the trivia and making conversation.

I even held my own little Simon says and Lore Trivia games.

It got endorsed by ANet, what with Gaile showing up and giving fireworks.

It was truly amazing, and it's also amazing what the community can do with enough planning and cooperation.

My only complaint was the scavenger hunt, which was fairly difficult.

I must say that it was a lot of fun to be there as a staffer. I must express my thanks to everyone who was patient with us while we got the costume contest back on track after almost everything that could have gone wrong did. Rahja and the rest of the staff did an awesome job keep cool, calm, and keeping 'the freight train rolling'.

I would most definitely agree to help out with something like this again in the future. Most of all though, I must thank everyone that showed up, as you all made the event as big as it could possibly be!

Check that out!

A special thanks to Gaile Gray, I really hope she enjoyed herself at the event, and she was a HUGE help!

Thanks Gaile!

I had a good time, and it was amazing how many people showed up. However, the costume contest was kinda disappointing because it took about 2 hours to finish...but over all I can't blame anyone since there was limited staff but it was a great job at that. Sure there were alot of annoying people, but less spam in the trade chat then I figured there would be. Woohoo for fireworks!

First of all, I want to thank Rahja and everyone else who made this party come to fruition, you guys really deserve something special for it. I can honestly say it was some of the best time I have spent in Guild Wars.

It was a wodnerful event, and I am surprised that it went as smoothly as it did. I can't wait for the next one. Perhaps Arena net might be so kind as to make a more picturesque location...?

Last night was so much fun! And I can't believe that I kept drumming for that long :P

THANK YOU to Deux and his staff who made the whole thing possible, and I really hope that we as a community can do something similar very soon!

Indeed. Being the first time I have run a contest on this scale, it went quite well. I can assure you, next year on the 5th of May, this event will be 10x larger and 100x better. The costume contest will be completely enclosed, with a 2-3 month pre-planning. If we as a community can make the event this big with only 2 weeks notice, just imagine how large it can be with 2-3 months. Next year, this event will rival ANET's events, I can assure you of that. I had a lot of fun with this event, and I plan to continue this event using the lore that I created. Next year though, I think Ascalon City will make a better area to host it in. More room, more people able to fit per district.

I am glad that so many of you enjoyed yourselves! I was stressed the whole event, but I really still had a lot of fun. Having Gaile there made it that much easier and smoother. The real heroes heroes here are my staff though. They pulled through for me, stayed long hours, went through hell with that costume contest and all the issues we ran into. They deserve the praise. I just came up with the idea.

BTW! While I am posting here!

Winners list!

Costume Contest:

4 Way tie and equal prizes. (Prize = 10k + 1 Rare Gold)

Frozen Newborn
Cynthia Tol Aethril
Avalon The Moleman
Yakslappin Midget

Scavenger Hunt Winners and their prizes.

1). Xavian Shadowhand (Trip to Fissure of Woe and a brand new set of FoW armor)
2). Big Bad Benny (Set of Vabbian Armor for character of his choice)
3). Sad Sad Cows (Chose to take 75k, 15k armor was primary prize)

Many small prizes were included.

I would like to express a BIG thanks to my donors as well! They made the prizes possible.

My #1 donor was Chunks Mule. His donation of 1 Million Gold Coins was extremely generous. We need to help him rebuild that gold, so if you need a spider, please see him for one.

See this thread for Spider Cap Service from Chunks!

Yay! That was really unexpected, considering my internet access cut off in the middle of the judging... makes me feel much happier after all that waiting around

Thanks for everything I'm sure most people had a great time, and I hope you can do something even better next year!

Hey Guys & Girls

I'm still busy sorting out all the screenshots I took last night. I'll upload them in to a Gallery shortly.

I'm also still busy putting together the "review".

In the mean time here's my first ever attempt at a video. Enjoy!

Once again a HUGE thanks to Deux and co for putting the event together. Give me a shout if you need a hand with the next one

Wonderful video! Now we have two! I wonder if we will have a third pop up for a trilogy? I can only hope. Can't wait to see your review. Send me those screenshots via email Rinjin! [email protected]
